It can be compared with the trophic (food) link in the biocenosis. Through this connection, energy flows from the bottom up in the ecological pyramid. Thus, the higher function in the sociotype model, firstly, controls the lower one, not allowing it to go beyond certain limits and, secondly, it “feeds” at the expense of the lower one.
For example, what feeds the Mentor's emotions? - his imagination, that is, the function "T". The emotional potential of this sociotype is directly proportional to the riot or scarcity of his imagination. What feeds an enthusiast's emotions? - its sensory state "S", that is, comfort or discomfort, in particular physical health. What feeds the Inspector’s structural logic? - force sensorics "F", the rigidity of the position in which it is located. In Analytics, logic receives its supply energy from the opposite source of installation — non-standard ideas and innovations “I”.

Well, let the higher functions feed on the control of the lower ones. And where do they, in turn, take energy? Obviously, from the functions of an even lower level, perhaps physiological or some intermediate ones, occupying a floor even lower than the internals.
There are different ways to improve your psychological "food". The easiest way is to alternate the distant and close range in time, balancing the external exchange with the internal energy exchange. You can also connect to an additional source - to communicate with the sub-regional. At first, you will feel your importance! Or the insignificance of the partner, which is at least able to raise your self-esteem and motivation. If you failed with the revision, then one of two things. Either my conclusions are wrong, or your sociotypes are determined by those who are far from the energy paradigm and blindly believe words and questionnaires.
