Ethics redemption

When in the psychological profile of a person, the functions of one installation, but the opposite vertigo, are simultaneously enhanced, redemption occurs. One of the signs of the presence of this problem - a person is tormented by the question: is I an extrovert or an introvert?

Psychologists call such people ambiverts. Often you hear the opinion that the ambiverts are the majority. Socionics, proceeding from the principle of quadruple, develops this idea like this: well, you are an ambivert, but which one? - The one that came to a mixed state from extraversion, or the one that moved from introversion? At the same level of personality, it is impossible to be both an extrovert and an introvert.

Another common proposition: I used to be an extrovert, and now I have become an introvert (or vice versa). “This only means that the introverted functions in the profile have increased, that's all.” The foundation of the building has not changed from the fact that you opened a window in it. However, a person who is accustomed to flat thinking cannot catch this thought.

I remember the famous French comic actor Louis de Funes, whose films were loved by people of my generation.

Demonstrative, very emotional, agile, rebellious. These are extroverted features of behavior. And at the same time, people who knew him closely (see the documentary The Life of Mr. de Funes) characterize him as timid, shy, affectionate. And such a dualistic state of mind is characteristic of many people performing on stage or acting in films.

Studying the psychological problems of different people, I drew attention to the fact that the equal intensity of E and R in the functional profile can lead to panic attacks. In such a state, it is necessary to move, twitch, transfer the emotional energy “E” to the movement “P”. Apparently, in a similar way, the “E” function ceases to be canceled and the introverted person energetically enters an extrovert mode.

This contradictory combination of functions that interfere with each other can be called dualism (as opposed to duality, where opposite functions feed each other).

Look at the picture above. It depicts Ouroboros, the gnostic symbol of dualism. It reflects the infinite self-absorbing cyclical nature of time. So you see the symbol of dualism, but not of duality! It is a pity that many authors do not draw a clear boundary between these concepts.

Logic Redemption

I decided to devote this entry not to functions, not to their combination, but to one of the practices that are interesting in terms of interfunctional relations, namely, redemption.

Redemption, or the complete opposite, as this relationship is also called, is nothing more than neutralization, nulling, annihilation of two mental processes or states. If we depict the dynamics of this interaction on the graph, we will find the action in antiphase. The installation is the same, but one participant thinks about a joint subject (information component), and the other does (energy component).

The result of the redeeming interaction is mainly informational. It is clearly noticeable effect of energy loss on both sides. Information, on the contrary, arrives. The result of the collision of two states of the same direction, but the opposite vertigo, always the same - the state "T".

In essence, the repayment contains the notorious proportion of 50 x 50, which common sense advocates often serve as the ideal. If we approach the issue purely informational, this is the position of a sage: you are right and you are right.

However, according to the energy criterion, everything goes the other way around. The more zero interactions within a person, the less chance he has to find his niche and be productively realized in society. But, on the other hand, the more difficult and contradictory it is psychologically arranged.

Consider, for example, repayment between business and structural logic. Here is the next gap - to reflect or act, analyze or organize? If we take the dilemma at the social level, then we will have, on the one hand, a business, and on the other, its damping opposite to bureaucracy. And when they grow together, the economy stagnates, collapses. Energy seems to be there, but it goes nowhere. As a result, mutual inhibition occurs.

Why did I pay attention to this? Because modern socionics is in a similar position. Excessive structural construction (L) redeemed its business side (P). Attempts to make business use of its models have no particular impact; it is easier for practitioners to follow the trendy Western typologies, which are also constantly updated. Our interpretations of model “A” remind, to be honest, the interpretation of horoscopes.

Recently, I have been trying to redirect the efforts of socionics who trust me to experimentally test their hypotheses. Enough wise, enough to build a scheme, let's act! It is necessary to get out of maturity in a more productive state. And whoever can, let him show “aerobatics” and experimentally check the idol of informationists - model “A”. But seriously, for all of us it is really important to clearly define the area of ​​its application.
