The order of types in social progress, or why are quadras replaced?

1. Introduction
Why are the quadras replaced? - many amateurs, as well as serious listeners in socionics courses addressed me with such a question more than once. To a large extent, my report can be interpreted as a continuation or rather of an addition to my report at a previous conference, which was called the "Socion Watch". This time I'm going to look inside the ring of types, as well as inside the type itself. But what ring will we talk about? Which group of types serves as the engine of a socion organized into quadras?
2. Induction and reduction
It makes sense to first consider the question of why and how functions change within the type itself. Firstly, it is simpler, and secondly, both mechanisms operate on the same principle. If we deal with the first, then the second will not remain a secret to us. I suppose that there must be some primary switching effects (and, accordingly, at the second stage - switching off). Which of the existing interfunctional relationships can have the desired effect?
There can be only one answer - the order relationship is most suitable for the launch role. It is they who have a vector and at the same time inclusive character.
Thus, custom communication quite naturally acts as the basis for constructing a functional model of a communicative object. This is a significant difference from the familiar to you model "A", which is built on the auditing principle. One Aushra knows why, giving priority to the development of the socion transfer of an order, she built a model of the type on the reverse principle - the revision one.
Both models are structurally similar — they are a combination of two functional rings, one of which is above the other. Only in model “A” these are revision rings, and in the energy model they are custom-made. In addition, these rings are placed differently relative to each other, which is also very significant. However, this time I will not be considered in this report.
The use of the word “order” for our purposes is not very convenient, since this concept reflects only one aspect of the system-forming link — social. In most cases, when we use the word “order” not in everyday life, but in a scientific context, we mean precisely “social” order. Therefore, I prefer to use the general scientific name of this relationship, namely, I use the term “induction”.
What is it? In short, induction is directed excitation. It has the opposite - reduction, that is, directional inhibition. It is psychological induction that is the trigger that transfers the energy impulse further and further along the chain consisting of individual psychological functions.
The principal point is that the choice of an order instead of a revision as the main system connection has not only a structurally functional, actually model aspect, but also a paradigm-ideological one.
The energy paradigm, as you know, has been opposing the informational one for several years. My supporters and I believe that energy is primary. Modern science claims that at the beginning of time there was a big bang - a flurry of energy that spawned the universe, including the bearers of the psyche, that is, you and me. Over time, energy is condensed, turning into matter, which is increasingly organized, thereby generating information.
Someone might think that this dispute is on a par with the notorious dilemma: what happened before - the chicken or the egg. But we are not joking. The struggle of the idealistic and materialistic worldviews in the humanities never stops.
Thus, we clearly fixed the direction of social and psychological evolution - from energy to information. This conclusion, if you remember, ended my report at a previous conference. Now let's go a step further.
Such a cycle of transformation of energy into information is well known in various sciences of living forms. In particular, it resembles the phenomenon of succession in biology. Succession (from the Latin. Succesio - continuity, inheritance) is the successive replacement of one biocenosis by another in a certain area of ​​the environment.
For our purposes it is important to note that the most important property of the succession series is that each previous stage creates the conditions for the development of the next. As an example of succession, we take lake overgrowth and its transformation into a swamp.
Note! Exactly according to the same principle, each quadra reduces the previous one (drives it into the “swamp”) and induces the next one (blows up or pulls out a funnel for the future “lake”). And in the same way, on the principle of transferring the relay, one type turns on the other in the order ring, being filled with information and depleting energetically, slowing down more and more and, finally, goes the distance.
And now let's see how it works. I distinguish two types of energy impulse transmission - inspiration and irritation.
In the first case, the receiver moves towards the transmitter in order to learn from it some important skill. In other words, he seeks to imitate his customer. The mimetic reflex has been preserved in the form of “homo sapiens” from its ancient ancestor. And since this ancestor became the ancestor not only of man, but also of great apes, the imitation effect on modern monkeys is observed without any disguise. Researchers know that monkeys begin to yawn immediately, as soon as at least one member of their pack demonstrates a yawn. In humans, an increase in the imitative “avalanche” is, for example, a reaction to the cry of “our beat!”.
In the second case, the opposite of the first, the inevitable disappointment turns into irritation and the resulting dose of arousal seeks out for itself elsewhere. The receiver must go away from the inductor and does the right thing, otherwise a short circuit will occur in the energy circuit. In a detailed review of all four chains of the order, to which I will proceed below, I will place greater emphasis on the first, positive stage of psychological induction.
3. Order chains at the psychological level
Let's figure out who imitates who, and also what I want to emulate. Go through all the chains, as well as along each chain.
Initially, the ring of revolution (that is, rapid radical change): 
1. The politician wants to be as artistic as the Player. EI - FE 
2. And the Administrator is as flexible and diplomatic as the Politician. FE - PF. 
3. The seeker wants to be as technologically advanced and workable as the Administrator. PF - IP 
4. The player wants to be as resourceful as the Finder. IP - EI
Now the ring of evolution (that is, slow gradual changes): 
1. The critic wants to be as solid and systematic as the Inspector. LS - TL 
2. The inspector is as livable and sociable as the Mediator. SR - LS 
3. The mediator is as morally convinced as the Humanist. RT - SR 
4. A humanist is as far-sighted and wise as a critic. TL - RT
The transformation ring (i.e., quick but gradual changes): 
1. An enthusiast wants to be as strong and penetrative as the Marshal. FP - EF 
2. A Marshal is as risky and courageous as an Entrepreneur. PI - FP 
3. An entrepreneur wants to understand people as much as a counselor. IE - PI 
4. Advisor tries to be as tireless and positive in communication as the Enthusiast. EF - IE
And, at the end, the chain of involution (slow but radical changes): 
1. The analyst wants to be as positive and carefree as Lyrik. TR - LT 
2. And Lyric - to be as principled and ready to fight back others as the Keeper. RS - TR 
3. The keeper seeks to be as agile as the Master. Quickly do everything and relax. SL - RS 
4. Master - the same way to analyze complex phenomena, like the Analyst. LT - SL. Reorganization of the system in the direction of ease of maintenance. The circle closed again.
As you noticed, this picture of the transfer of the relay is somewhat reminiscent of a garland of flashing lights. True, in a simple garland two alternating branches intertwine, and in ours - as many as four.
Interestingly, the threshold value of the degree of mental arousal, after which the carrier type begins to act (to fulfill the order). How to measure it? So far, it is only in relative terms - how quickly and strongly induced is it induced in relation to its state before the meeting with the inducer. And the second - through the degree of disappointment after rapprochement with the customer.
4. Order chains at the social level
Let us consider how one social phenomenon, having one or another sociotype as its basis, generates another.
We begin, as always, with a chain of revolutionary changes. 
1. Religion (Mentor) begets politics and trade (Politician). The church has always been close to power, and in the Middle Ages even crushed power under itself. 
2. Trade, spectacles, advertising, the democratic structure of society generate the development of technology, communications, engineering infrastructure (Administrator). Remember how expensive we are. The administrative function is not fulfilled. This will be discussed in detail below. 
3. Dynamic production and transport (Administrator) generates innovations and inventions (Seeker).
4. Scientific searches (Seeker) generate first a general worldview, and then ideology and even religion (Mentor). No wonder many great scientists eventually became extremely religious (like I. Newton), or switched to social activities (like A. Sakharov). Having known nature, the Seeker seeks a mystical or religious experience. Unfortunately, because of this, it becomes impossible to distinguish between speculative metaphysics and real natural science.
Now we work with a transformation ring . 
1. War (Marshal) leads to an emotional rise, a surge in fertility and a rapid recovery of the commodity market (Enthusiast). 
2. Greenhouse education in the spirit of hyper-care (typical of the Enthusiast) leads to the emergence of talented, but unorganized and irresponsible children (they are called buzzword "indigo"). 
3. Skilfully filed, painted, sensational idea (Advisor) leads to entrepreneurial adventures and investments. 
4. Free competition (Entrepreneur) ultimately creates a monopoly (Marshal).
And that's how evolutionary happens 
1. The authoritarian order (Inspector) leads to the emergence of critics, dissenters (dissidents). 
2. A critical society that remembers its past (Critic) gives rise to the phenomenon of tolerance, political correctness, the abolition of cruel punishments, in short, leads to real humanism. 
3. The humane society creates conformism, complacency, care in their own pleasures (Mediator). 
4. A warm company or a group of relatives (Mediator) sooner or later comes to a formal organization, working out instructions and staffing tables (again the Inspector).
And the involutionists complete the cycle of change 
1. The dream (Lirik) leads to the scientific development of the problem and the discovery (Analyst). 
2. The completed and tested scheme (Analyst) leads to perfect tools and methods of work (Master). 
3. Skill leads to the conservation of experience in the form of tradition (the Keeper). 
4. The preservation of traditions leads to the fact that there is a dream of a new, which seems to others unrealizable (again Lyrik).
So what do we have at the macro level? - Quadras, having completed their mission, leave, setting the stage for their mate. Let's repeat briefly again what weapon the next quad defeats the previous one.
The second square replaces the first due to its organization and fighting qualities. The third displaces the second due to the freedom and temptations of consumerism, limited by beta. The fourth replaces the third as a result of fatigue from competition and frustration in material and prestigious values. But how is this possible? Let's turn to some trends in modern life of developed countries.
5. Signs of changing the third quadra to the fourth
Recall Marx. He thought that the working class was the grave-digger of capitalism (that is, a society built on the values ​​of the third quadra). But this is hardly the case. Any part of the system is interested in its improvement, not destruction. An entrepreneur, as you remember, inevitably creates a Marshal - a monopoly. Monopolists agree with the state and it helps them out of the crisis. Marx did not take into account the corrective effect of the Protestant ethic (the Guardian), which gives capitalism a solid psychological foundation.
And at the same time, Marx was right. Capitalism as a society with the values ​​of the third quadra is doomed because it is built on profit — surplus value, as economists say. It's simple: it is more profitable to speculate than to produce. Affects the lack of technical production installation in this quadra. The material base itself is destroyed, because production is transferred to less developed countries. Because it is cheaper.
But there is a second reason for the departure of liberal values ​​- individualism and lack of spirituality, covering society in this period. Over time, there is a social order for humanity and stability. The grave-diggers of capitalism are not a traditional working class, which is becoming less and less, but a special social stratum of people, which we will discuss in more detail below. And now I will note that the third quadru is beaten, firstly, by the Administrator (as he decentralizes power) and, secondly, by the Humanist (since he professes relational values ​​instead of pragmatic values).
Along with the technological revolution of the Administrator and the gradual evolution towards humanitarian values ​​in the fourth quadra, an involutionary process takes place, which has a peculiar form. This special form of existence in English-speaking countries received the name of its own essence - downshifting.
6. Downshifting
In the current understanding of downshifting (transition to a lower gear) - this is a conscious choice by a person instead of incomes and a career of peripheral values ​​of spiritual comfort and personal growth. Usually, when leaving a business or from stressful work, people radically change their lifestyle in order to get free time for hobbies or for a family.
This is unusual, from the point of view of residents of the post-Soviet space, a phenomenon that did not appear in recent years. Only in the 20th century, the unquenchable thirst for money and careers were replaced several times by the desire to “live in a hut”, but calmly and in harmony with nature.
The first mass refusal of people from the ideology of major positions and money came in the 1960s. At this time, the hippie ideas began to be actively promoted. However, approximately from the mid-1970s, yuppies come to replace the "children of nature" (YUPpies - young urban professionals). This is a whole generation of young workaholics and careerists who value money and their own interests and despise any lofty goals, spiritual and family values.
The ideology of downshifting, reflecting the essence of the fourth quadra, is that free time and the opportunity to do your favorite business and develop is much more important than participation in a career race and consumption of material benefits.
We have signs of this phenomenon are not enough. The weak distribution of downshifting in Ukraine is confirmed by studies of the personnel of Ukrainian companies conducted by YurKraft. They showed that with very few exceptions, our people call wages or material incentives the main motive in their work and do not think about any downshifting.
According to a 2002 poll by The Guardian, in the past 10 years in Western Europe, about 30% of the working population has become downshifters. In Australia and the United States, this figure is slightly lower - about 25%. Such statistics prompted the British research company TGI Global to study the values ​​of people from different countries (including in Ukraine) in order to predict the further spread of this phenomenon in the world.
As a result of the polls, it turned out that 52% of Russians consider money as an indicator of success and happiness, and among Ukrainians there were even more such people - 63%. Developed countries showed other figures: China - 40%; United States - 19% and the United Kingdom - 17%. On this basis, the researchers concluded that it is developed countries that are the most susceptible to downshifting (according to the data provided by the Power of Money weekly). These countries, I will add from myself, by the criterion of mental values ​​are already in the fourth quadra.
Thus, a return to nature in search of a comfortable order is the inevitable final of the socion. I gave my last report on the energy causes of this phenomenon. The current report is devoted to how the energy flow fades, passing from quadra to quadra and from type to type. The main role is played by the mechanism of psychological induction, which triggers the order chain.
This is an excellent mechanism for the self-organization of people energetically influencing each other. And if any of you thought for even a minute about this grandiose scenario, which no one else writes, like you and me, I will consider my task accomplished.
